Privacy Policy
KiruShare collects only what's needed to share expenses, shares nothing, and never watches you. This policy covers the KiruShare app and its own account.
Your KiruShare account is its own
KiruShare has its own account, separate from every other KiruS app. What you do here stays here, and deleting it deletes only KiruShare.
What we store
Your account: your name and email address.
Your ledger: the groups, members, expenses and settlements you enter, so your shared
notebook is there for you and the people you share it with.
To keep the account working: a sign-in session record with the device type, its IP
address and browser/app identifier, so we can show you your active sessions and stop someone else using
a stolen session.
If you turn on notifications: a push token for that device, so a reminder can reach the
right phone. Turn notifications off and it is removed.
Who can see your ledger
The other members of a group see that group. That is the point of a shared notebook. If you share a group's watch-link or code, anyone holding it can view that group without an account. Share it only with people you mean to.
Who else touches your data
We do not sell or rent anything, and no one is given your data to use for their own purposes. But KiruShare could not work without a few companies who process it strictly on our instructions, and you deserve their names:
- Supabase: hosts the database your ledger lives in.
- Resend: delivers the emails carrying your sign-in and confirmation codes.
- Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging): delivers a notification to your device, if you turn notifications on. Turn them off and your token is removed.
Each acts as a processor, never as an owner of your information: they may only do what we ask, they may not use it for themselves, and they are bound to protect it to the same standard we promise you here.
What we never do
- No advertising, no ad tracking, ever.
- No behavioural analytics or profiling.
- We never sell or rent your data, and we never hand it to anyone to use for their own ends. Only the processors named above, only to run the app.
- No real money moves. KiruShare is a shared notebook, not a bank.
Logging
Only error/diagnostic logs needed to fix problems, scrubbed of personal detail, to repair, not to observe.
How long we keep it
Your ledger stays while your account does. Delete your KiruShare account and it is gone within 48 hours, after a 24-hour window in which you can change your mind. Session records age out on their own; push tokens go the moment you turn notifications off.
Your control
Delete your KiruShare account any time from the app: More → Data → Delete my KiruShare account. It removes your KiruShare account and its data, and touches no other KiruS app. Entries you made in someone else's group keep their history so their ledger stays honest; your name leaves.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@kirusai.com. You must be at least 13 to use KiruShare. In some countries the law sets a higher age at which a young person can agree to their own data being handled. Where that applies, please use KiruShare with a parent or guardian's permission.
